Arna teaches at the art department of VMA, the Akureyri Vocational School, and is the artistic director of the upcoming documentary film Dancing Lines.
Video/song installations, based on a singing performance in the exhibition space, are the best-known works of Arna and her solo exhibition “Staðreynd/Local Fact” that opened in the Akureyri Art Museum in 2014 gained her a wide recognition. In that exhibition she exhibited 6 different video/song works created into different locations in the years from 2008 – 2014 and her first video/song installation from 1988. The voices and movements of each work met in the air and a new dialog was created.
