The mixing of different worlds, playful interventions and commentaries on everyday reality are the main themes
in the work of artist Hester Oerlemans. Leaving no medium unexploited, she consistently shows a perception of the world around her which is both poetic and critical. In drawings, videos and sculptures, she makes an effort to unravel the object until its essence shows. No matter whether she busies herself with the art world, urban space or our personal surroundings, she hits the nail on its head.
